I think we should all go support Mr Chin here. Its something that would be very very meaningful. Plus, hopefully, we can get the new juniors to come along for this one. It can be like a mini WD outing! Okay, so please get back to me ASAP if you guys are interested so i can tell Mr Chin ASAP to get the tickets and we can all sit Together.

Hey dancers, for this week, practice venues are as such:

Thursday's Hip Hop: Linkway
Saturday's Contemp: Gym
(please wear NJWD shirt or a black shirt and dark colored long pants, neat hair)

Again, apologies for the late timing on Tuesdays because Mr Dan is only free at that time. We're trying to get larger venues, but it's quite hard as the gym and the hall have to be shared by both the dance groups and the sport CCAs. So in the meantime, please try and bear with it.

There have been some amendments made to the dance schedule, sorry about it. Attached is the new schedule for practices (different from what we told you during GM on Thursday):

Attire for Contemporary General Practices: Black shirt and black jazz/ long pants
Please also help ensure your friends know about this new schedule.
All general practices are compulsory for everyone (with the exception of DanceWorks people, who are strongly recommended to attend). If unable to attend practice, please the following people know in advance.

For general practices, these ExCos are in charge:

Also, be reminded about the senior-junior breakfast we told you about during GM.

“DANCEWORKS COMMEMORATIVE T-SHIRT DESIGN” COMPETITION (CATEGORIES II & III ONLY)

· Each team must submit a T-shirt design that captures the idea and spirit behind DanceWorks!
· The words “10th Anniversary” and “DanceWorks! 08” must be included in the design, as 2008 marks the 10th Year of DanceWorks!
· The design must be original and not contain the trademarks, logos, copyrighted works or intellectual property of any other parties.
· The design can be done using computer software or hand-drawn, in black and white or color.
· One winning design from each category will be chosen as the design for event T-shirts.
· The Organizers reserve the right to modify and touch-up the winning design to enhance its aesthetic appeal before printing.

uhh. so if you are nice, like ask around your talented-in-art friends or if you are talented in art yourself, DO DESIGN SOMETHING and give us! (: latest by next fri (11/01/08)!

** For the “Most Supported Team” award, teams could get their supporters to create banners bearing their team/school names, come up with cheers to complement their teams’ performances, or get supporters to don clothes of the same color in support of their team on the day of the preliminary round.

Updates:

1. CCA Festival for incoming JC1s/ IP1s (4th January, Friday)
Our booth will be as usual, along the linkway, outside the I&E Hub. We'll need help setting up the booth and putting up posters so anyone who is free please come down and help.
WD has performance timeslots from 2-5, half-hourly intervals. We're alternating between Hip Hop (Grad Night item) and Contemp (Filet).
No booth duties but do help out at the booth whenever you're free.

2. WD New Intake Auditions (8th January, Tuesday)
Time: 4.45 pm
Venue: Hall
We'll be teaching them one hip hop and one contemp dance, and auditioning them based on these 2 dances (they can pick one, or both).
We'll need help on that day to teach the new intake the audition dance, for those who are interested in helping, Hip Hop side message Andrea, Contemp side message Shining BY THIS FRIDAY. You'll have to learn the audition dance on Monday (4 eights) and teach it to the auditionees during the audition itself. Do volunteer if interested.

3. General Meeting (10th January, Thursday)
Time: 7.30am
Venue: Amphitheatre
As per our usual thursday morning GMs to inform all of you what's going to be happening the coming few months.
AND, the sweaters are finally here so you'll get yours during the GM (: Those who have not paid, please bring money.
For those who cannot make it, please inform exco-in-charge.
