Hey western dancers! :D

There will be an upcoming event called "Lumos '09" that is a fund raising concert, organised by Hwa Chong. Basically, the event is to raise funds for the Pathlight School for autistic children. This event will also award you with CIP hours and best of all a load of fun bonding with the whole western dance! :)))

Details:

When: 3 April 2009, 7pm
Where: Hwa Chong Institution (College) Auditorium
Who: Anyone who is interested!

There will also be other schools such as RJC, SAJC, VJC, ACJC, ACS(I), CJC etc who would also be sending their dance groups to perform. As for NJWD, we would be putting up a fusion dance that consists of both contemporary and hiphop! If you are interested in participating in this event, please indicate your interest to your respective exco in-charge LATEST by tmr night before 10pm! :D

CIP (NOT UNDER WESTERN DANCE)

Hey guys, amanda is having this cip whereby she requires a few of us to 1.choreograph a hiphop item (simple dance steps, 3 minutes top, for FIVE 14/15 yrs old non-dancers), and then another batch of us to 2.learn that choreographed item and then go down to teach them.

Choreography should be done by NEXT THURSDAY (12th Feb). Teaching of the dance should occur then. After which, the going down part will commence and end by the end of the following week (tentative, amanda will get back to us!)

You'll get CIP POINTS for doing something you love! Do volunteer! Trust me, if lots of people work together, a nicely choreographed item can be done in like, 1 day! (if there's no procrastinating)

INFORM LIYANA BY FRIDAY NIGHT 2359 (LOL) IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN CHOREOGRAPHING / GOING DOWN TO TEACH THEM.

Tickets start distributing at 6.30pm, UCC. Seating capacity approximately is 400. So if you are interested, come down fast because there sure will be a long queue.

Anyway, if you dont know, Dance Blast! is NUS' hiphop dance group. There are a lot of NJC Western Dance alumni including Chii Tarng, Wei Na, and Dismas. It's free anyway! :D

Buying of leotards!

Mr Dan is asking us to wear leotards for every contemp prac now.
So please go and buy leotards. Wear on saturday, 7th Feb practice.
No excuses! Leotard must be black/dark colours. Not too fanciful designs.
